My research focusses on the detection and quantification of greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide) from the oil and gas, coal and agricultural sectors. Currently I oversee the data acquisition and analysis of airborne- and satellite-based measurements of greenhouse gas emissions in the Hunter Coalfields. I also work closely with the United Nations Environment Programme’s International Methane Emissions Observatory (UNEP's IMEO) coordinating and analysing data from airborne measurement campaigns conducted across Australia as part of IMEO’s .
