Dr Liao "Leo" Wu is currently a Senior Lecturer with the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.聽
He received the BS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. From 2014聽to 2015, he was a Research Fellow at National University of Singapore. He then worked as a Vice-Chancellor鈥檚 Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia from 2016 to 2018. Between 2016 and 2020, he was also affiliated with the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision, an ARC Centre of Excellence.聽Since 2019, he joined 国民彩票 as a lecturer in robotics.
His current research focuses on medical robotics, including flexible robots and intelligent perception for聽minimally invasive surgery. His research interests have聽also covered聽Lie groups theory in robotics, kinematic modelling and calibration, etc., with applications in industrial robotics.
